was founded
in 1972 with the objective of promoting closer, coordinated
relationships among robbery investigators and private industry
throughout the State with a view towards a more extensive and
rapid dissemination and exchange of information concerning
robbery suspects and investigations.
To encourage and support legislation that would tend to decrease
or curb the occurrence of robbery crimes. Also to assist
the judiciary and related agencies in helping to determine
penalties to be imposed on robbery defendants.
To solicit the support of the public and industry to the end
that they might be better protected and educated in the
prevention of robberies. To encourage the development of
new methods and techniques that will assist investigators in the
identification and apprehension of robbery suspects and to
cooperate with all agencies, both governmental and private, who
are attempting to develop new equipment and strategies.
